Knit It Forward is a non-profit organization, established in February 2018, with the sole purpose of providing hand-knitted and crocheted items to those individuals residing in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, and hospice care, as well as those who frequent homeless shelters in the community. In addition to producing and collecting items for donation, Knit It Forward’s enthusiastic volunteers are also available to provide personal or group instruction for those in assisted living and long-term care facilities, residential treatment facilities, and group homes, who would like to participate. The handmade items we supply, whether it be scarves, hats, blankets, or any other related items, provide more than just warmth to those in need. These donations deliver comfort, love, and hope.

There is no shortage of people in need, and it is Knit It Forward’s belief that by working (and knitting) together, we can fulfill those needs.
